Human Hair Cleans Up Oil Spills

Hair is very good at attracting oil.

In 1989, hair from salons and barber shops was used to clean up the Exxon Valdez oil spill off the coast of Alaska, as I’ve mentioned to some in the past.

I’ve just found the article linked below about a company specifically creating products out of human hair cleaning up other spills .
